Christmas at the Barn
I love Christmas time and I am not ready for it to be over. So, I was so glad when I walked into the barn Tuesday night to feed and found it as festive as possible. Green garlands and red bows were strung along the aisle. Every stall door had a stocking hanging on it, stuffed with apples and carrots. It made me smile when I saw how Christmas-y it was, especially because I was really sad to leave all my family in California after Christmas.
Ribbon's Stocking.
Ribbon munching happily on her warm mush mixed with apples and carrots. You can't really see them but there are even ornaments hanging on the garlands.

Spanish Riding School
The Lippizzaner stallions have always been a beautiful art that I had never thought that I would ever see. Imagine my surprise and delight when I discovered that they were trained in the city of Vienna and admission to see the morning exercise was only six euros. It was a remarkable experience and the stallions are beautiful!

She's Here!
My baby, my Ribbon, has arrived! She pulled into the drive at 4:15 this afternoon and quickly got settled in with her new paddock mate, Gus. I am ecstatic to finally have her so close. I'll be able to see her everyday and ride her most days. I can't express how glad I am that she's here.
